How JobCue™ by RoofCue handles information about you, your business and your customers. JobCue is run by RoofCue LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("we").
The Short Version
- We use your information only to run JobCue for you.
- Your customers' information is yours. We handle it on your behalf and never use it for anything else.
- We never sell or rent information, show ads, or use tracking cookies.
- You can see, download, correct or delete your information.
What We Collect
About you and your business: your name and email, and what you add to your company profile, such as your business name, phone, email, website, address, license number, insurance details, logo, terms and review link.
About your customers and jobs ("Customer Data"): what you or your team enter, such as customers' names, phone numbers, emails and addresses, jobs, visits, notes, services and prices, inspection answers and photos.
When you use JobCue: one sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in (needed for the app to work), a few small settings saved on your device (such as hiding a tip you have read), and a record of important actions in your company (such as who changed a job) for security. Our host, Cloudflare, handles technical details such as your IP address to deliver the app and protect it from attacks. For our own limits on sign-in attempts we keep only a scrambled form of IP addresses and emails, never the addresses themselves.
If you use Start Timer and Stop Timer on an appointment, we keep those times and who tapped them, to show time on site. JobCue does not track your location.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, payment card numbers or health information, and you should not enter them in JobCue.
How We Use It
- To run JobCue: sign you in, save and show your work.
- To send emails the service needs, such as sign-in codes.
- To keep JobCue secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To answer you when you contact us.
- To meet legal obligations.
We may use combined numbers that do not identify anyone (such as how many inspections are started) to improve JobCue. We do not use Customer Data to contact your customers, to advertise, or to train AI.
Your Customers' Information
For Customer Data, we are your service provider: we keep it, protect it and show it to you and your team, only to provide JobCue to you. You decide what goes in. You are responsible for having the right to collect it and for telling your customers how you use it, as the law requires. If one of your customers asks us about their information, we will send them to you and help you respond.
When you send an estimate, proposal, change order, document or inspection report, we email it to your customer in your company's name (replies go to you), or you send them the link yourself. Each link is private and can be turned off. When they open it, we record when and how many times, and keep their answer (an approval, a question, a signature or a decline) to show you and let you know. Their page uses no cookies and no tracking.
When your customer signs, we keep their typed name, that they agreed to sign electronically, the date and time, the kind of device they used, and a scrambled form of their internet address. We also keep an exact copy of what they signed with a fingerprint that shows it was not changed afterwards. A signed copy is kept with the job and can't be edited or deleted while your account is open.
Notifications and Phone Alerts
JobCue lets you and your team know when a customer opens, signs, declines or answers something you sent, or texts you back. These show under the bell in JobCue, for the person who made the item and the company's owners.
If you turn on phone alerts, we keep the address your phone's maker (such as Apple or Google) gives us for alerts on your phone. An alert carries no details: it only wakes your phone, which then asks JobCue what's new. Turn alerts off at any time on the Notifications page or in your phone's settings; we delete that address when you do, or when the phone maker tells us it no longer works.
Text Messages
When a business that uses JobCue texts its customers, the customer's phone number and the messages go through our texting provider (Twilio) to be delivered. We keep the messages with the job, and a record of when the customer agreed to get texts or replied STOP. We don't sell phone numbers or use them for marketing, and no one else gets them for that. See the Text Message Terms.
Who We Share It With
Only the companies that help us run JobCue, each for that job:
- Cloudflare: hosting, file storage for photos and logos, and network security.
- Supabase: our database.
- Resend: sending emails such as sign-in codes and the estimates you send.
- Google: address suggestions. The address text you type is sent to Google to suggest matches (Google's Privacy Policy).
- Twilio: delivering text messages a business sends its customers through JobCue.
- GitHub: runs our job that makes encrypted backups.
- Apple, Google and other phone makers' alert services: only if you turn on phone alerts, to wake your phone. They receive no information about your customers or your work.
People on your team see your company's information. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this notice keeps applying to it. Your information is stored and handled in the United States.
How Long We Keep It
- Your account and Customer Data: while your account is open.
- When you close your account: deleted within 30 days (download what you need first).
- Removed photos: can be restored for 30 days, then deleted.
- Sign-in codes: expire after 10 minutes and are deleted daily.
- Notifications: deleted after 90 days.
- Encrypted backups: each is deleted after 30 days, so anything deleted is gone from every backup within 30 days after that. If we ever restore a backup, anything already deleted is deleted again right away.
How We Protect It
JobCue uses encrypted connections (HTTPS) and encrypted storage. Each company's information is walled off from every other company in the database itself. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, so there are no passwords to steal, and we keep only scrambled forms of sign-in codes and session keys. Photos and logos are private: shown only to people signed in to your company, and in what you send your customers (your logo on your documents, and the photos in an inspection report you send).
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you without unreasonable delay and as the law requires (in Arizona, within 45 days after we determine a breach happened).
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask to see, download, correct or delete your information, and ask how we use it, by emailing privacy@getroofcue.com. We answer within 45 days and will not treat you differently for asking. Some states (such as California, Colorado and Virginia) give these rights by law; we give them to everyone. We never sell or share information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Children
JobCue is for businesses and adults 18 or older. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this notice, we update the date at the top. For changes that matter, we email account owners before they take effect.
